Croatian guitarist Filip Mišković has won first prize at the 2026 Francisco Tárrega International Guitar Competition in Benicàssim, Spain.

The Royal Conservatoire The Hague reported the result on 7 September. Mišković recently completed his master’s studies there with Zoran Dukić.

The competition ran from 27 August to 4 September 2026. Fellow Croatian guitarist Luka Lovreković received second prize. Portugal’s Francisco Luís received both the audience prize and the special prize for the best interpretation of a work by Francisco Tárrega.

The result introduces another name for listeners and aspiring professionals to follow on the international competition circuit. The conservatoire’s announcement provides the confirmed award details and Mišković’s study background.
