Tariq Harb: Bach, Fugue (BWV 1001)

February 20, 2016 by CGR 1 Comment

From the archive · Published 20 February 2016.

Here’s Tariq Harb (Concordia University, Montréal) playing his own arrangement of Johann Sebastian Bach’s fugue from the first violin sonata, with excellent production from guitarist and producer Drew Henderson.

Tariq has just recently released a CD of all the Segovia Sor studies, which you can find here.

I have been following Tariq Harb for about a year. He is one of the most amazing classical guitarists of his generation. Not only does he possess technical virtuosity, but his interpretation is nothing less than absolutely moving.
