For listeners looking beyond the familiar guitar canon, this recent performance pairs Vera Danilina with Yarn by Michael Abels. It adds a contemporary work and a younger international artist to our selection of performances.
Danilina won first prize at the Michele Pittaluga International Classical Guitar Competition in 2022. That established international recognition makes her an artist worth exploring for readers who have yet to encounter her work.
